| ABSTRACT: | Metals X Limited (Metals X or the Company) is pleased to provide its annual update of Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimates for the Renison Tin Operations (Renison) in Tasmania. Renison is 50% owned by Metals X through the Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture. Managing Director, Mr Warren Hallam, said: “Although mining has taken place at Renison for over 100 years, each year we continue to advance our geological understanding of this massive tin system which has once again resulted in another substantial increase in resources.” “This increase is yet to be fully reflected in the conversion to reserves at this time. However we have maintained an 8 year Ore Reserve and, based upon the resource inventory and exploration upside, are confident that Renison will remain a long-life profitable operation.” “The ore sorter, currently under construction, will increase the grade of ore to the mill by 15 to 20%. As such, we propose to bulk mine areas that have shown to be economically amenable to ore sorting. This has marginally reduced the grade of the Ore Reserve whilst increasing tonnes and maintaining contained tin. The move to bulk mining of selected areas will increase productivity, continue to lower unit costs across the operation and will further extend the mine life by making previously uneconomic areas profitable.” | |
