| ABSTRACT: | THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO, CANADA (October 18, 2017) - MetalCorp Limited (“MetalCorp”, “MTC” or the “Company”) (TSXV – MTC) is pleased to provide an update on its exploration program at its polymetallic North Rock Project, 25 kilometers East of Fort Frances in Watten and Halkirk townships of northwestern Ontario, easily accessed via Highway 11 and existing gravel roads (see News Release dated August 3, 2017). Three holes were completed in September at the Belacoma and East Zone areas. The best intersections included: Palladium (Pd): 1.87 grams per tonne (gpt) over 0.5 meter; Platinum (Pt): 1.08 gpt over 0.6 meter; Gold (Au): 1.34 gpt over 0.6 meter; and Copper (Cu): 2.44% over 0.5 meter and 1.96% over 0.6 meter. Hole NR17-071 returned a value of 1.15 grams of Palladium per tonne over 1.0 meter, which includes 1.87 grams over 0.5 meter, at the contact zone in a melanocratic coarse grained gabbro/pyroxenite. The next hole, NR17-072, returned 1.08 grams of Platinum per tonne and 1.34 grams of Gold per tonne over 0.6 meter, and included a value of 1.96% Copper in the same 0.6 meter interval associated with a 3cm po-cpy vein in a gabbro dyke, which dyke is part of the volcanics assemblage north of the contact zone. Finally, another significant value of 2.44% Cu over 0.5 meter, also in hole NR17-072, occurs in a mixed melano gabbro/pyroxenite unit with more than 5% highly disseminated po and cpy. | |
