ABSTRACT: | This report was prepared as a feasibility-level National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) Technical Report (Technical Report) for McEwen Mining Inc. (MMI), by the Qualified Persons listed in Section 2 of this Technical Report. The subject matter of the Technical Report is the Gold Bar Mine (Gold Bar or Project), an open pit gold heap leach operation located in Eureka County, Nevada. This Technical Report supersedes the previous 2012 and 2015 Technical Reports on the property (SRK, 2012 and SRK, 2015). It provides a summary of the technical and economic analysis of the selected development option for this mineral project. This study includes detailed assessments of resources and reserves, metallurgy, mining, processing, environmental, social, legal and other relevant considerations that have successfully demonstrated the economic viability of the Project. Construction commenced on Gold Bar in November 8, 2017 with anticipated completion in December 2018, and plant commissioning complete in Q1 2019. To date at the timing of this report filing, 90% of the capital equipment has been procured and all major contractors for project execution in 2018 have been awarded. The Gold Bar Project is located in the southern Roberts Mountains, approximately 30 miles northwest of the town of Eureka in Eureka County, Nevada. The approximate centroid of the north deposit areas in the current mine plan is N39.80°, W116.34°. The Project has good connections to the infrastructure of northern Nevada, with public roads linking to a haul road that connects the historical Gold Bar plant to the Project site. The area is characterized as high mountain desert with cold winters and warm summers. Project elevations range from 6,500 ft to 9,063 ft. Weatherrelated impact to previous mining at Gold Bar was minimal. | |
