ABSTRACT: | Maximus Resources Limited (ASX: MXR) is pleased to inform shareholders of the updated JORC 2012 compliant Mineral Resource estimate at Eagles Nest (see Table 1), following a recent RC drill program. The Eagles Nest deposit is located on the Spargoville shear approximately 7km south of the previously mined high grade Wattle Dam gold mine, now owned by Maximus. The updated Mineral Resource Estimate totalling 679,900 tonnes @ 1.95 g/t for 42,600 ounces of gold represents an increase of 59% over the previous Resource Estimate. This revised Resource Estimate includes results from the recently completed Maximus RC drilling program and historical drilling undertaken by Ramelius Resources as described in the ASX release dated 17/02/2017. The increase in Resource tonnes is primarily due to the extension of the mineralisation to the south, into the recently acquired tenement P15/5545. Further evaluation of all available drillhole data has also identified a smaller footwall zone of mineralisation (see Figure 1) with an estimated inferred Resource totalling 17,500 tonnes @ 1.89 g/t Au for 1,050 ounces. This zone remains open to the north, west and down dip. Drilling density, continuity and confidence in the upper portions of the Eagle Nest Deposit are sufficient to allow this section of the Main Zone to be re-classified into the higher confidence category of Indicated Mineral Resource totalling 150,000 tonnes at 1.84 g/t gold for 8,900 ounces. The ore body has a strike length of 300 metres, dips at 75-80 degrees to the east and extends to 240m below surface. The ore body remains open to the south and down plunge to the north. | |
