ABSTRACT:Marindi Metals Ltd (“Marindi”, ASX: MZN) is pleased to report results from the second batch of drill holes analysed for vanadium from the Wolf zinc deposit at the Newman Base Metal Project. A total of 1163 samples from 13 holes were submitted for assay in addition to the 332 samples previously submitted from 5 holes which were reported on the 22nd May 2017. The results continue to be encouraging with vanadium mineralisation confirmed to be continuous over a minimum strike length of 860m. Some of the better assays are appended below and a list of all significant assays is attached as table 2. The zinc and vanadium mineralisation at Wolf is generally complimentary with both occurring together or in close proximity. This can result in some large intersections such as Holes PDD405 and PDP404 as shown above. Vanadium mineralisation is closely related to late stage quartz veining and brecciation within the Prairie Downs Fault Zone. Mineralisation has been confirmed in drill intersections from surface and to greater than 200m depth. Geological prospecting using a portable XRF (pXRF) machine has traced vanadium-rich gossanous material in quartz veins for a further 300m to the grid west from approximately 17500N – see Fig 2. Similarly, to the east the vanadium rich zone can be followed for several hundred metres before it is covered by scree from overlying sediments. There has been no previous drilling of these extensions to the zinc-vanadium zones. The10,000m RC program, planned to commence in September, will test these strike extensions as well as shallow drilling of the high-grade vanadium zones such as those in holes PDP072 (refer attached section fig 3).
