| ABSTRACT: | Marindi Metals Ltd (ASX:MZN) is pleased to report further exploration progress and assay results from its ongoing RC drilling program at the Newman Base Metal Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Results include additional lead-zinc intercepts at the recent Husky South discovery (refer ASX release dated 16 November 2017), with copper and minor gold mineralisation intersected in an altered doleritic unit at the nearby Husky prospect. The Stage 1 drilling program designed to test targets north of the Prairie zinc deposit is nearing completion, with 24 reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled to date for a total of 2819m. The drilling program is targeting several prospects in the Prairie Downs Fault Zone (PDFZ) , including the Husky South and Husky geochemical anomalies. The Lone Wolf geochemical target is currently being drilled after which the rig will be moved to the south in order to complete the planned Stage 2 drill program on the PDFZ (refer Figure 1). Assays have been received for drill holes PDP453 to PDP466, as summarised in Table 2 and reported in full in in Table 3. Drilling at Husky and Husky South has confirmed continuous base metal mineralisation along 1.6km of the PDF (Figure 2). All RC holes drilled to test the PDFZ were mineralised to some degree ranging. | |
