| ABSTRACT: | MOD Resources Limited (ASX:M OD) today announced further wide copper/silver intersections within the Phase 1 resource target area at the T3 prospect in the Kalahari Copper Belt, Botswana. T3 is part of a joint venture between MOD Resources (70%) and AIM-listed Metal Tiger Plc (30%). MOD Resources’ General Manager Exploration, Mr Jacques Janse van Rensburg, said he was excited by the latest batch of results from T3. “These results not only confirm the presence of substantial bonanza grade copper/silver veins within the wide zones of T3 mineralisation,” said Mr Janse van Rensburg. “But also demonstrate the potential for extensions to the resource area in several directions.” “The continuity of the high-grade veins is currently unknown, but they have now been intersected in several holes right across T3 and may prove to be an important economic component of the deposit.” MOD is currently drilling to test the potential for extensions. MOD Resources’ Managing Director, Mr Julian Hanna, said the Company remains committed to completing the initial Phase 1 resource estimate during the September quarter. “The site team, which now totals approximately 80 people, is fully committed to meet this target,” said Mr Hanna. “MOD’s drilling contractors, Discovery Drilling, have also provided two additional diamond rigs at no cost, which are on standby to assist in increasing the rate of drilling, if required.” | |
