| ABSTRACT: | MOD Resources Ltd (ASX: MOD) is pleased to announce excellent results from all eight, large diameter, geotechnical core holes drilled within the proposed T3 open pit design (Figure 1). The holes were designed to provide geotechnical and metallurgical information around the perimeter of the pit to help optimise the design and provide larger samples for ore processing test work. T3 forms part of the joint venture between MOD (70%) and AIM-listed Metal Tiger Plc (30%) for an extensive licence holding in the central and western parts of the Kalahari Copper Belt. The in-country operating company is Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd (Tshukudu). “These results provide us with further confidence in the deposit and contribute to the optimisation of the proposed T3 open pit design. Further work will test the potential pit expansion around Zone 1 and the underlying Zone 2,” said Mr Hanna. “The understanding of the geology and structural controls of T3 is growing rapidly and providing more confidence to target the next drilling,” he said. “This knowledge can also only improve the chances of finding another deposit in the wider area.” Drilling at T3 and elsewhere along the T3 Dome is expected to resume after approval of the environmental management plan (EMP) lodged with the Department of Environmental Affairs. An update on potential drilling targets identified from the T20 Dome soil sampling program and planned airborne EM survey of the T3 Dome is to follow shortly. | |
