| ABSTRACT: | In January 2016 Luna Gold Corp. (Luna Gold) commissioned Lycopodium Minerals Canada Ltd. (Lycopodium) to complete a Study of the Aurizona Mine (Project) at pre-feasibility level through a series of value engineering studies. The Study was executed over the period of January 2016 to August 2016. The Study was based on a “fit for purpose” design basis and was conducted with the objective of updating the resource and reserve estimates, designing to pre-feasibility level the appropriate facilities required for mining, processing, tailings management, ancillary facilities, on-site and off-site infrastructure. A Technical Report which summarizes the exploration history, resource and reserves estimates, mine design, metallurgical testing, process design, infrastructure design, environmental studies, cost and operating estimates, project implementation planning, risk assessment and economic analyses performed during the Study period was issued on 30 September 2016. The Technical Report was considered by Lycopodium appropriate to pre-feasibility level (-15% +20% overall accuracy) as defined by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE). This Technical Report is an amendment to the 30 September 2016 issue and includes updates to Sections 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 14 and 23. | |
