ABSTRACT:This report titled “Updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Cauchari-Olaroz Salars, Jujuy Province, Argentina” (the “Report” or “Technical Report”), was prepared by Andeburg Consulting Services Inc. (“ACSI”) to provide Lithium Americas Corporation (“LAC” or “Lithium Americas” or “the Company”) with a Technical Report that is compliant with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI-43-101”) on the CauchariOlaroz Salars (the “Cauchari-Olaroz Project” or “Project” or “Property”), located in the Jujuy Province, Argentina. Lithium Americas Corporation and Ganfeng own the Cauchari-Olaroz Project through a 62.5/37.5 joint venture company (“JV”), Minera Exar S.A. (“Minera Exar”). Lithium Americas is a public company listed on the TSX and NYSE under the symbol “LAC.” ACSI understands that the Company may use this Report for internal decision making purposes and it will be filed as required under applicable Canadian, American and Chinese securities laws. The current Updated Mineral Resource Estimate presented in this Report has been prepared in compliance with the “CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves – Definitions and Guidelines” as referred to in National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) as well as CIM Best Practice Guidelines for Resource and Reserve Estimation for Lithium Brines (dated November 1, 2012), in which it is stated that the CIM considers brine projects to be mineral projects, as defined in NI 43-101.
