| ABSTRACT: | Lepidico Ltd (ASX:LPD) (“Lepidico” or “Company”) is pleased to provide further positive results from the Alvarrões Lepidolite Project in Portugal, which demonstrate the presence of an extensive system of lithium-mineralised pegmatites. Results from holes ALVD 15, ALVD 16, ALVD17 and ALVD18 continue to demonstrate the continuity and predictability of the mineralised lepidolite-bearing pegmatite sills at Alvarrões, providing confidence that the pegmatite system will be of a sufficient scale and quality to provide long-term lepidolite concentrate feed for the Company’s Phase 1 L-Max® Plant proposed to be built in Eastern Canada and currently the subject of a Feasibility Study. The Company’s drilling program has shown that the flat-lying lepidolite-rich pegmatite system at Alvarrões is continuous for at least 900 m along strike and 500 m down-dip, and remains open in all directions (Figure 1). Of note, ALVD18 extends the known mineralisation by more than 200m down-dip from the current mining face in Block 3 with two substantial, well mineralised sills intersected (Figures 2 and 3). This makes Block 3 a large high priority target for follow up exploration drilling. ALVD16 has also extended the mineralised system in the area between Blocks 1 and 2. A summary of the latest results received is presented in Table 1, while detailed results are provided as Appendix 1. Results from the final hole, ALVD19, of the diamond drilling program are anticipated in early October. | |
