| ABSTRACT: | WA-focused gold exploration company Latitude Consolidated Limited (ASX: LCD) (“Latitude” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that the final assays have been received from the recently completed drilling program (see ASX release dated 9 May 2017) at the Tim’s Find Gold Prospect in Western Australia. This highly successful phase 1 drill program has achieved all the goals it set out to achieve; infill drilling over the 1,350m strike confirmed continuous mineralisation to a depth of 50m. Latitude’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Edwards, commented: “Latitude’s exploration team continues to be impressed by the quality of the results being received from the Tim’s Find Gold Prospect, with the latest split assays further highlighting the shallow, high grade nature of the gold mineralisation within the prospect area. “The Mt Ida region remains a highly underexplored address, with Latitude one of the only listed companies to have conducted systematic shallow drilling across these highly prospective target areas. The fact that we have encountered and confirmed continuous high grade gold mineralisation at surface is highly encouraging. “Our belief that the Tim’s Find Prospect has the potential to host a much larger, high grade gold system has been further validated by these results and we intend to fully assess this potential through a follow up exploration campaign.” | |
