| ABSTRACT: | The Company has now received assay results from RC drilling at the Comedy King prospect and air-core (AC) drilling at Comedy King and the Faye Marie prospects, located approximately 2.7km north-west of the proposed processing plant site at Cardinia. The results build on the exceptional air-core drilling results announced previously at Comedy King and, together with the recent drilling at Faye Marie supported by strong surface gold geochemistry, demonstrate a coherent zone of gold mineralisation extending over a strike length of up to 3km. The latest assays also highlight the potential for the Cardinia area to host extremely high-grade gold, including a bonanza grade intercept of 4m at 113g/t Au from surface at Comedy King – an exceptional result for this stage of AC drilling. The latest results are also highlighting the importance of having a detailed understanding of the geology of the area in order to maximise exploration success, with the better developed gold mineralisation generally associated with north east trending, second order faults initiated from the regional scale Keith-Kilkenny Fault, one of the major gold-hosting geological structures in Western Australia. | |
