ABSTRACT:Kalium Lakes Limited (KLL) announced today that the main Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) production and monitoring bore installation program has been completed at its Beyondie Sulphate Of Potash (SOP) Project. The company is pleased to report brine analysis results for bores recently completed in Table 1 below. The current production and monitoring bore program reflects KLL’s development strategy, where a staged development approach provides initial production from the western areas of the Project, then expanding production to include the eastern areas (see Figure 1 below). Brine extraction would occur from both the upper alluvium via trenches and the lower basal aquifer via bore pumps. This program focussed on the Beyondie, 10 Mile and Sunshine areas which will underpin the initial mine life, PFS outcomes, a future Resource update as well as where the Company is targeting its maiden Ore Reserve. Figures 2 and 3 below show an outline of this area and identify both previous and current bore program locations. Tables 1 and 2 present the bore information and brine assay results which have been collected since results were reported on 2 May 2017. A combination of gravity and passive seismic geophysical techniques have been utilised to target bores in palaeovalley and bedrock aquifers. To date the program has encountered high grade brine in the upper surficial aquifer, palaeovalley clays, upper and basal palaeochannel sand and silcrete, as well as highly fractured bedrock and dolerite (i.e. high brine yield zones). An auger sampling and testing program of all lakes with the Project area, which will result in an update to all project lake sediment resources, is ongoing. Test pumping is continuing to define aquifer properties from each of these zones, which will then be used for numerical hydrogeological modelling that feeds into the Resource and Reserve estimates.
