ABSTRACT:KGL Resources Limited (KGL:ASX) (KGL or the Company) announces drill results confirming high grade copper at the western zone of the Rockface prospect, located at KGL’s 100% owned Jervois Copper Project in the Northern Territory. This follows the recent diamond drilling which discovered a significant extension of mineralisation at the Reward prospect, located ~5km to the north east of Rockface, announced on 30 August 2017. The intercept of lower grade copper assays and elevated lead assays from 413.46m to 418.50m corresponds with a galena rich zone within the broader zone of copper mineralisation. Both the galena and the chalcopyrite are hosted by the brecciated massive magnetite unit. It is interpreted that the galena has been emplaced by a later, cooler mineralising event, overprinting the earlier chalcopyrite mineralisation. In summary, a leadrich vein has locally stoped out the copper-rich zone. KGL Executive Chairman Mr Denis Wood said: “Rockface continues to deliver outstanding results for the Jervois project. These latest intersections are very important in exposing such good continuity of the high-grade copper mineralisation across some of the large previously undrilled spaces at Rockface. “KJCD215 is one of the best reported holes in the Rockface prospect revealing depth extension with increasing copper grade, while KJCD214 is valuable in understanding the western edge of the conductors at Rockface whilst still intersecting high-grade copper mineralisation. “These successes entrench Rockface as a priority exploration target. Down hole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveying has consistently identified drilling zones, and we look forward to further survey results as we build a more detailed picture of the extent of mineralisation at Rockface and recently at Reward. “This consistent exploration success confirms Rockface as an important priority given the high-grade extensions have the makings for a significant copper focused mulit-metal project”.
