ABSTRACT:Jindalee Resources Limited (’Jindalee’ or ‘Company’) is pleased to announce the first assay results from its initial drill program at McDermitt. The 100% owned McDermitt Project comprises 242 placer mineral claims covering approximately 4840 acres (19.6 km2 ) of Bureau of Land Management (‘BLM’) managed land, approximately 25km west of the town of McDermitt on the Nevada-Oregon border (Figure 1). Four vertical diamond drill holes were completed by Jindalee in September to an average depth of 90m to gain an understanding of the thickness and grade of lithium mineralisation previously encountered in surface sampling1 (Figure 2, Table 1). The McDermitt Project area hosts extensive areas of outcropping lithium (Li) bearing sediments with assay results of up to 3020 ppm Li in previous sampling by the Company’s geologists1 . Drilling confirmed thicknesses of up to 92m of flat-lying, lithium bearing sediments including tuffaceous sandstones, siltstones and mudstones. The sedimentary package remains open at depth, with basement not reached in the recent program. Hole MDD-001 was drilled on the southern edge of the claims area and intersected 3 separate lithium bearing, finely laminated mudstone units (e.g. Figure 3). Using a 1000 ppm Li cut off and a maximum of 2m internal ‘waste’, the three mineralised horizons have intercepts up to 14m @ 1527 ppm Li, including 6m @ 2083 ppm Li (Table 2). With the results from only one hole, interpretations are limited, but the Company is encouraged by the recognition of several mineralised horizons marginal to the main zone of interest at McDermitt and looks forward to reporting assay results from the remaining holes over the coming fortnight.
