ABSTRACT:Intermin Resources Limited (ASX: IRC) (“Intermin” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce drilling results from the December Quarter reverse circulation (“RC”) program at the 100% owned Peyes Farm gold prospect located 11km northwest of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia (Figure 2). The prospect sits parallel to the Abattoir Shear, on the Peyes Farm Shear Zone, 600m south of Intermin’s Teal gold mine and 200m east of the new Jacques Find discovery (Figures 2 and 3). The Peyes stratigraphy is dominated by a steep dipping, north striking sequence of felsic tuffs, porphyries and intermediate volcanics (Figure 3). The rocks are strongly foliated with silica-carbonate-pyrite mineralisation associated with auriferous quartz veins usually adjacent to contact zones. The distribution of the sub-parallel quartz lodes is effected by cross cutting faults, shearing and variable leaching profiles. Prior to a mid-2016 aircore/RC program1 , the Peyes Farm prospect was essentially defined as a series of variably mineralised drill intercepts with similarities to the Teal deposit. No JORC Compliant resources or models had previously been completed for the prospect. This program confirmed the mineralisation and returned several encouraging intercepts such as PFAC1615 (7m @ 2.5 g/t Au), PFAC1613 (5m @ 4.03 g/t Au) and PFRC1616 (8m @ 2.60 g/t Au) and, importantly, confirmed its potential to host a modest resource with additional drilling.
