| ABSTRACT: | Intermin Resources Limited (ASX: IRC) (“Intermin” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce drilling results from the December Quarter 2016 reverse circulation (“RC”) program at the 100% owned Jacques Find gold prospect located 11km northwest of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia within the Teal project area. The prospect sits sub parallel to the Peyes Farm Shear zone 500m south of the Teal Stage 1 open pit mine and 200m west of the Peyes Farm prospect. The total program comprised 15 RC holes, across six sections, for 1,867m (maximum depth of 180m) and was designed to follow up PFRC1637 which was the discovery hole drilled in August 2016. A diamond drill hole was twinned adjacent to PFRC1637 in October and provided important geological information. The diamond hole and the first four RC holes (PFRC16131-16134) were previously reported in October 20161 . All results have now been received with drill hole collar details and significant downhole intervals > 1.0g/t Au included in Table 1. The Jacques Find and nearby Peyes Farm prospects are located within the Peyes Farm Shear zone, west of the regional Abattoir Shear. The stratigraphy at Jacques Find is dominated by a steep dipping, north to north northwest striking sequence of felsic tuffs, porphyries and intermediate volcanics. A 1-7m thick black shale unit has been regularly intersected in the drilling and provides an important stratigraphical marker not evident at either the Teal or Peyes Farm prospects. | |
