| ABSTRACT: | Intermin Resources Limited (ASX: IRC) (“Intermin” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the 100% owned Goongarrie gold project located 80km north of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia (Figures 1 and 2). The new estimate is compliant with the JORC 2012 Code and has been updated to include all infill and extensional reverse circulation (“RC”) drilling results. The Goongarrie Lady project is located within the Bardoc Tectonic Zone that extends north from Kalgoorlie to Menzies. Gold mineralisation consists of a series of north striking 45 degrees west dipping quartz bearing lodes. The lodes are situated on the highly sheared contact between mafic and sediment sequences. Several steeply dipping North West trending faults displace the sheared contact and the mineralisation by 10 to 20m laterally. The mineralisation and host rock are completely oxidised to at least 35m. Julia Mines Ltd first mined the Goongarrie Lady deposit in 1989 with 28,606t @ 2.7g/t Au extracted. The initial resource prior to mining was 58,100t @ 4.5g/t Au for 8,405 oz Au. Several resource calculations have occurred since mining. All available historic data was compiled and validated by Intermin geologists then provided to independent Resource consultant Hawker Geological Services Pty Ltd (“HGS’) for evaluation and Mineral Resource compilation. Drilling used to compile the resource comprised 214 reverse circulation holes for 12,321m. Drill hole spacing is a nominal 20 by 10m in areas classified as Indicated Resource and a nominal 40m x 20m in areas classified as Inferred Resource. | |
