| ABSTRACT: | Intermin Resources Limited (ASX: IRC) (“Intermin” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce drilling results from the December Quarter 2016 reverse circulation (“RC”) programs at the 100% owned Blister Dam, Baden Powell and Janet Ivy South prospects. Commenting on the program Intermin’s Managing Director, Mr Jon Price said the latest results demonstrated the area’s prospectivity and more than justified their low acquisition costs. “These exciting projects have had little to no modern exploration and we look forward to completing further drilling at all prospects as part of our large 2017 program commencing in the June Quarter,” he added. The Company considers the results to be highly encouraging for continued exploration along strike and at depth. The project area is located in a highly favourable structural setting, contains widespread gold mineralisation in drilling and is along strike from operating gold mines including the new very high grade discovery at the Carbine/Paradigm project owned by Northern Star Resources Limited (ASX: NST). Further drilling is planned for the June quarter. At Blister Dam, further drilling is planned to the east of hole BDRC1602. Considerable effort has also been allocated to reviewing the prospectivity at Blister Dam and the nearby New Mexico project (Figure 11). Historical drilling has been analysed and stratigraphic and structural comparisons made to known deposits in the area. Field reconnaissance has identified areas where there appears to have been limited exploration or drilling yet there are signs of significant metal detecting and ground disturbance. | |
