| ABSTRACT: | Indiana Resources Limited (ASX: IDA) (‘Indiana’ or the ‘Company’) has received the final analytical results from shallow reconnaissance drilling at the Kenieko Nord Gold Project (‘Kenieko’) in Mali. A reconnaissance aircore drilling programme of 4,325m was undertaken during May 2018 at the Company’s Koussikoto Ouest (‘Koussikoto’) and Kenieko Nord (‘Kenieko’) exploration properties in Mali. Encouraging results from Koussikoto have been reported previously (ASX announcements 29 June 2018 and 12 July 2018)1 . Final assays for the drilling programme at Kenieko, comprising 19 holes for 358m, have now been received, the results of which are shown in Appendix A. The reconnaissance drilling at Kenieko targeted an area of recently commenced artisanal mining situated in the central portion of the property and backed up with highly anomalous soil geochemistry (Figure 1). Holes were drilled on two sections spaced approximately 1,200m apart at either end of the anomaly to give some geological context to the artisanal mining activity. The lines were situated on the extreme ends of the soil anomaly as the central location was being mined by artisanal workers at the time of drilling, restricting access to the preferred section of the target. Holes were typically spaced 50m apart on each section and were drilled to an average depth of only 19m. Broad anomalous gold intervals were returned from surface in adjacent holes | |
