ABSTRACT: | Following the signing the purchase agreement with Barrick in February 2007, PGD began exploration activities throughout the El Tranquilo claim block starting from November 2008. The work has included gridding, surveying, surface outcrop mapping, trenching, geophysical surveys and petrographic studies. The main focus of activities from 2008 to 2018, has been predominantly diamond core drilling of Cap Oeste and extensions along the Cap Oeste structural corridor. The drilling for the Cap Oeste mineral resource extends over a strike length of approximately 2.0 km. Currently the maximum depth below the surface to which mineralisation has been intersected is approximately 450 m. The nominal drill spacing ranges from 50 m along strike by 50 m across strike with fill drilling down to 25 m spacing on 10 m sections. A total of seven drilling campaigns have been completed at Cap Oeste. The most recent program was carried out in 2018. This involved a due diligence drilling campaign by PGD as part of preliminary negotiations for the sale of the Cap Oeste and the nearby COSE projects to PAS. From May to June 2018, six HQ3 diamond holes (1,592.50 m) were drilled. The objective of the program was to evaluate possible continuity between high-grade zones and also test the marginal zones to one of the ‘COSE’- Style mineralisation intersections from previous drilling. In addition, the holes were planned to assess the quality of mineralisation and its metallurgical characteristics. Most of the 2018 drill holes intercepts correlated very well with the older holes in close proximity, occasionally with higher background values in the haloes of the higher-grade mineralised intervals. The presence of very highgrade Au-Ag mineralisation (‘COSE’-Style) was confirmed, most significantly by the by the results in CAP-001 | |
