| ABSTRACT: | Toronto, Ontario, March 29, 2018 – Hudbay Minerals Inc. (“Hudbay” or the “company”) (TSX, NYSE:HBM) announced that it has filed an updated National Instrument 43-101 technical report in respect of its 100% owned Constancia mine in Peru (the “2018 Technical Report”). The 2018 Technical Report includes updates to the mineral reserves and resources and mine plan, including anticipated throughput, recoveries and capital and operating costs for the remaining life of mine at Constancia. The company has also provided its annual mineral reserve and resource update for its producing properties. All dollar amounts are in US dollars, unless otherwise noted. The closure of the Reed mine is expected in the third quarter of 2018. The focus for the 777 mine is maximizing value as the mine approaches the end of its life. | |
