| ABSTRACT: | Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (RPA) was retained by Pueblo Viejo Dominicana Corporation (PVDC), which is the operating company for the joint venture partners, Barrick Gold Corporation (Barrick) (60%) and Goldcorp Inc. (Goldcorp) (40%), to prepare an independent Technical Report on the Pueblo Viejo Mine (the Mine) located in the Dominican Republic. The purpose of this report is to support disclosure of the Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves for the Mine as of December 31, 2017. This Technical Report conforms to NI 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. RPA visited the Mine from November 14 to 16, 2017. Barrick is a Canadian publicly traded mining company with a portfolio of operating mines and projects across four continents. Goldcorp is a publicly traded senior gold producer with operations and development projects throughout the Americas. Pueblo Viejo, a precious and base metal deposit, is located in the central part of the Dominican Republic on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola in the province of Sanchez Ramirez. The Mine is 15 km west of the provincial capital of Cotuí and approximately 100 km northwest of the national capital of Santo Domingo. PVDC holds 100% of the mineral rights to the Pueblo Viejo deposit. | |
