| ABSTRACT: | Gateway Mining Limited (ASX: GML) (Gateway or Company) is pleased to report that final assay results have now been returned from the Whistler Prospect within its 100%-owned Gidgee Gold Project in Western Australia (Figure 1). These final results were returned from drilling that targeted the interpreted shallow, northern extension of the mineralisation and a test of the southern extension at depth Gateway’s Managing Director, Peter Langworthy, said “the final results from Whistler now allow us to fully understand the quality and potential of the gold system and will allow us to plan the next phase of work.” “It is clear that there is a strong, quality zone of gold mineralisation at Whistler, and that additional exploration is required to follow this up along strike and at depth to determine the overall scale. At the same time we have a stated objective with our approach to exploration at our Gidgee Project, and that is we want to understand the broader potential across the entire project”. “We have just released some excellent results from our Montague Prospect, await the outcome of the drilling at Caledonian and have just commenced the first phase of our regional aircore drilling program along the highly prospective margin of the Montague Granodiorite” he said. “We continue to be excited by Whistler and it will be a key focus of our work going forward. We want to understand how it fits into the broader picture regionally so that we can always be focused on our highest priority areas. This evaluation will pave the way for the next major round of RC and diamond drilling at Gidgee.” | |
