| ABSTRACT: | Freehill Mining Limited (ASX: FHS ‘Freehill’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to report more highly encouraging assay results from the Company’s 100%-owned Yerbas Buenas magnetite project in Chile. Assay results from YB-040 and YB-042 confirm that more significant, high grade intersections of magnetite have been discovered across the project as highlighted above. Whilst the grade is most encouraging, as has been the case with many of assays from other holes reported, shareholders should note the continuity of mineralisation of up to 66m in YB-042 and over 51 metres in YB-040. They reflect the fact that Yerbas Buenas is a very rich mineralised iron system that continues to grow in scale. These two holes reported were drilled from the base of a ravine into the side of the magnetite structure (see figures 5 & 6 below). High grade intersections are also shown in the core samples illustrated below (see figures 1-4). As previously reported, all drilling sample pulps from the Company’s recent diamond drilling program have now been received at ALS Iron Ore Technical Centre laboratory in Perth for iron and magnetics analysis, and the Company looks forward to reporting an expanded JORC Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) next month. | |
