| ABSTRACT: | Finders Resources Ltd (“Finders”) (FND:ASX) is pleased to report the annual update to the Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve Estimate for the Wetar Copper Project as at 30 June 2018 on a 100% owned basis. The previous estimate was effective as at 1 December 2017 update and released to the ASX on 22 December 2017. No additional data has been collected or recalculated since this last estimate and any changes from December 2017 reflect mining depletion only. Mineralisation contained within the Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimate at the Wetar Copper Project is located in two sulphide deposits at Kali Kuning and Lerokis. Mineralisation at both deposits occurs within coherent massive sulphide units, with a lesser amount of generally lower grade material occurring in the adjacent altered footwall lithologies to these sulphide mounds. Copper is present as secondary sulphide minerals (predominantly covellite) with an increasing relative proportion of primary sulphides (chalcopyrite) at Lerokis. Estimates of copper metal remaining in operating heap leach pads is included and additional metal has been added through a positive reconciliation of Kali Kuning production against the pre-mining block model. This is largely attributed to copper metal contained in the altered footwall of the sulphide mound and higher than predicted grades in the deeper zones of the sulphide mineralisation. Development of the Lerokis haul road is underway with mining anticipated to commence during April 2019. An active drilling program has commenced across the Wetar tenements including at the highly prospective Partolang project. | |
