| ABSTRACT: | Explaurum Limited (“Explaurum” or the “Company”) (ASX:EXU) is pleased to announce the fifth update of results from the resource RC drilling program at the Tampia Gold Project, located 300km east of Perth near the wheat belt township of Narembeen (“Tampia”). The resource drilling program has now been finished with 287 RC holes totalling 36,339m completed, from an initial planned program of 26,200m, which was subsequently increased due to the discovery of new zones of gold mineralisation. Assay results reported in this announcement are from an additional 68 holes to those holes previously reported on 12 April, 5 May, 13 June and 5 July 2017 (Figure 1). Drill collar details for all holes drilled are given in Table 1 and a list of intersections for the reported holes using a 0.7 g/t Au cut off are given in Table 2. These results come from extensions of the Wanjalonar gold zone, variography holes from the Merino and Wanjalonar gold zones, down-dip extension of the Merino gold zone and holes from the north west of the Merino gold zone. The stand out intersection came from the south-central part of the Merino gold zone, with the highest-grade intersection ever recorded at Tampia of 10m at 72.60 g/t Au from 63m, including 1m at 716 g/t Au from 68m. The one metre sample that assayed 716 g/t Au was panned, with several gold nuggets (up to 1cm) found in a 2-kilogram sample (Figure 2). The nuggets confirm the tenor of the assay result and that coarse free gold is present in the ore body. | |
