| ABSTRACT: | Explaurum Limited (ASX:EXU) is pleased to announce the results from the first phase of grid RC drilling of the gold mineralisation recently discovered at the Mace prospect, immediately to the west of the Tampia pit design in the wheat belt region of Western Australia near Narembeen (Figure 1). The mineralisation is supergene in nature which means gold has been remobilised, enriched and redeposited by groundwater. Commenting, John Lawton, Managing Director: “The results from drilling the supergene gold mineralisation at the Mace prospect have so far exceeded expectations, both in grade and potential to hold significant resource ounces, and confirmed this new style of shallow mineralisation is continuous for at least 550m from where the gold mineralisation outcrops in the Tampia pit area. Extension drilling to test the potential size of the mineralised zone has commenced. The gold soil anomaly over the creek system extends 13 km to the west of the Tampia resource area suggesting that there is excellent potential to add to the current resource from this highly lucrative style of gold mineralisation. The focus for Explaurum over the coming months and the remainder of 2018 will be aggressive exploration of the high priority gold soil samples and gravity targets of the eastern greenstone and in particular Gravity Target 8, where exploration drilling is expected to start following the next round of drilling at Mace. This is going to be a defining six months for Explaurum. We look forward to identifying a Tampia lookalike which the early stages of our exploration effort suggest may exist in the area” | |
