| ABSTRACT: | Emmerson Resources Limited (“Emmerson” ASX:ERM) and partner, Evolution Mining Limited (“Evolution” ASX: EVN) are pleased to announce the results from the second drill campaign at Edna 2 Beryl. These initial results are from 3m composite samples of the first reverse circulation drill holes in this campaign. These and the drill holes from the previous campaign highlight the potential of this project to substantially add to the existing JORC resources within our 100% owned Tennant Creek project in the Northern Territory (figure 1). The five ore shoot panels identified to date appear to connect the high grade gold mineralisation at Edna Beryl with the recent and historic drill holes at Edna Beryl West (figure 2). This new geological interpretation supported by the intersection of substantial hematite ironstones in the deeper Panel 3 drilling indicates continuity at depth, however the pending assays will determine the potential for deeper mineralisation. Of significance is the paucity of drilling within Panel 3 and below, which by historic standards is still shallow and within 200m of the surface. Given the encouragement from the last two drill campaigns, the next round of ~6,500m of reverse circulation and diamond drilling will commence in August 2016 and continues to be fully funded through the Farm-In and Joint Venture with Evolution. Although yet to finalised, this drilling will be focussed on extensions at Edna Beryl (Panel 3 and below) and some new projects including Susan, Venus, Retsina, Eldorado AN5 and, the M5 and Black Eye targets within a recently acquired tenement along the Warrego-Orlando corridor (figure 1). | |
