| ABSTRACT: | Eastern Goldfields Limited (ASX: EGS) (Eastern Goldfields or the Company) is pleased to announce results from additional drilling at its Siberia Mining Centre (Siberia), located approximately 80km north west of Kalgoorlie within the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia (Figure 1). With drilling now completed at Siberia, the final results are expected to be returned by late November 2016 and incorporated into updated Resource modelsscheduled for completion by the end of November 2016. The current lode system remains open at depth with significant potential to extend mineralisation with further drilling. Exploration efforts at Siberia will now focus on quantifying underground resources below the existing open pit Resources at Sand King and Missouri. Executive Chairman Michael Fotios said: “The conclusion of Resource definition drilling at Siberia is a significant milestone for the Project and will allow the Company to move forward with JORC Reserve and Resource updates for Siberia. Overall, the drilling results have exceeded our expectations, and we are pleased that the revised geological model is performing predictably. As the drilling focus moves away from Siberia, we look forward to further success on our other priority targets.” | |
