| ABSTRACT: | Eastern Goldfields Limited (ASX: EGS) (Eastern Goldfields or the Company) is pleased to announce results from additional drilling at its Siberia Mining Centre (Siberia), located approximately 80km north west of Kalgoorlie within the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia (Figure 1). The new results, which include numerous broad, high grade zones of mineralisation, clearly display the strength of the mineralised system at the Sand King Deposit. Significantly, mineralisation in drill holes SKRC080‐82 (8m @ 20.16g/t Au, 7m @ 3.61g/t Au and 8m @ 3.02g/t Au) has extended existing mineralisation which remains open and untested to the north. In addition, mineralisation intersected in SKRC076 (15m @ 5.14g/t Au) occurs 40m north of the previously announced 20.3m @ 4.97g/t Au in SKD004A (ASX Announcement dated 13 September 2016), confirming a significant increase in the mineralisation in this location. Resource drilling is now complete at Siberia, with the updated JORC 2012 Resources estimate progressing for both the Missouri and Sand King Deposits. Executive Chairman Michael Fotios said: “These outstanding results continue to strengthen our confidence in the quality of the Siberia project and the veracity of the Resource evaluation process which will ultimately provide a positive outcome to the proposed mining activities. We are focused on incorporating these new results into the revised JORC 2012 compliant Resource estimate.” A significant number of the recent, previously released drilling results occur below the currently designed open pit. These will be the subject of further mining evaluation work as the Company examines the potential to either deepen the proposed pit or alternately looks towards a future underground mining event.
