| ABSTRACT: | Eastern Goldfields Limited (ASX: EGS) (Eastern Goldfields or the Company) is pleased to announce results from additional drilling at its Siberia Mining Centre, located approximately 120km north west of Kalgoorlie within the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia (Figure 1). These results come from both geotechnical and resource definition diamond drilling at the Sand King and Missouri Deposits. In most instances, the mineralised zones continue to be intercepted where expected, confirming the geometry and integrity of the current geological modelling. Of note, drilling in the southern end of the Sand King Deposit (SKD013 with 6.1m @ 13.14g/t Au) intercepted strong mineralisation below the existing pit that had not been previously identified due to a lack of drilling. This result links two zones of mineralisation, locally increasing the tenor of mineralisation, which remains open along strike both to the north and south (Figure 4). Additional drilling will be undertaken to evaluate this lode in the coming weeks. Results from MGT003, a geotechnical hole drilled in the east wall of the existing Missouri open pit, intercepted two high grade zones of mineralisation outside of the preliminary pit design (Figure 5), returning 2.2m @ 23.54g/t Au and 3.1m @ 23.66g/t Au. These intercepts represent significant mineralisation, not previously defined, that remain open to the east and north. | |
