ABSTRACT: | Duketon Mining Limited (ASX: DKM) is pleased to announce that all final assays have been received from reverse circulation drilling at the Golden Star, Commonwealth and Thompsons Bore prospects located on the 100 percent owned Duketon Project, Western Australia (see Figures 1-4 and Tables 1 -3). Duketon’s Managing Director, Stuart Fogarty, said; “Golden Star continues to deliver great results. We are now able to define a significant zone of mineralisation very close to surface and an equally significant zone in fresh rock that shows all the qualities that you want to see in a deposit. We will now focus on understanding the structural controls on mineralisation, depth potential and expansion of the oxide related mineralisation” RC drilling at Golden Star was planned to infill in some areas of previous drilling, test for the continuation of mineralisation at depth on selected sections and to validate previous drilling where significant oxide mineralisation has been identified. Drilling has helped to define the mineralisation envelope and provide a zone for concentrated exploration both at depth and within the oxide profile. Infill drilling in north has demonstrated the continuation of zones of mineralisation within the primary zone whilst also highlighting the existence of oxide mineralisation which remains open to the surface. Drilling within the central portion of the Golden Star prospect has returned high grades at depth conforming to the interpreted steep easterly dip to mineralisation. This is also confirmed at the southern end of mineralisation. Drilling in the southern area has intersected significant shallow oxide mineralisation that requires further drilling to scope out the full extent of mineralisation. | |
