| ABSTRACT: | Draig Resources Ltd (ASX: DRG) is pleased to provide an update on exploration works at the Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia. Executive Director, Mr Steve Parsons commented: “We are very pleased to be the first company in over 20 years to be undertaking exploration on one of the highest grade historical gold mines in Australia. This initial drill programme has demonstrated the high-grade nature and multiple mineralised lodes as well as helped refine our geological targeting model at the Project. We are extremely excited to see mineralisation on multiple shear zones including the Tribune Lode which sits to the west of the Highway Fault that was historically considered to be the truncating fault causing mining activities to be stopped 20 years ago. We have now commenced our follow up drilling and anticipate drill results over the coming weeks.” This initial drilling programme was designed to test areas for gold mineralisation with the potential for inclusion into a resource estimate. The drilling also successfully confirmed areas of unmapped and unmined mineralisation as well as gaining a detailed structural and geological understanding of the lodes to refine the 3D geological model ready for deeper drill targeting. Refer to figure 4 for the location of recent drilling. A total of 3 Diamond Drill (DD) holes for 568.9m and 8 Reverse Circulation (RC) holes for 1,246m have been completed in this first phase of drilling. Drilling was conducted at four target areas derived from a combination of the initial geological interpretation and the recently completed Induced Polarisation geophysical survey. | |
