ABSTRACT: | Doray Minerals Limited (ASX:DRM, Doray) is pleased to announce estimation of a maiden Mineral Resource for the Turnberry Prospect, within the Gnaweeda Project (“Gnaweeda”). The Turnberry Prospect (“Turnberry”) is located approximately 15km south east of the Andy Well Gold Project, in the northern Murchison region of Western Australia (Figure 1.). Doray is exploring the Gnaweeda Project for gold mineralisation that could potentially be treated at the nearby Andy Well gold processing facility. The Inferred Mineral Resource for Turnberry totals 4.6Mt @ 1.8g/t Au for 266,000 contained ounces (see further detail below). This initial Resource estimate is based on a bulk‐mining interpretation of the overall mineralised trend at Turnberry. This interpretation is considered appropriate at this stage due to the inherent variability in the mineralised grades and the relatively wide spaced drilling at present. Figures 3 and 4 illustrate the typical interpretation applied for the Turnberry mineralisation. It should be noted that there are significant higher grade zones within this interpretation, and several excellent intersections such as 7m @ 41.3g/t Au previously reported from TBRC043 (see ASX Release dated 17 June 2016) have not been included at this stage due to lack of supporting data (see Figure 2). It is anticipated that further RC and diamond drilling about to be commenced at Turnberry will increase the confidence in these higher grade zones. Details of the Resource estimation approach are summarised in the explanatory notes included in Appendix A, as well as in the JORC (2012) Table 1 included with this release. | |
