ABSTRACT:Doray Minerals Limited (“Doray” or “the Company”) (ASX: DRM) is pleased to announce results from follow-up diamond drilling at the newly discovered extension to the Deflector ore body (see ASX release dated 14 June 2016). This follow-up drilling was designed to test both below hole DEDD031a and an additional 40m along strike to the northeast. Hole DEDD045 has intersected multiple zones including 1.4m at 106.2 g/t Au and 4.4% Cu from 166.1m. A total of four diamond drill holes have been drilled to date (see hole locations in Figure 1). Holes DEDD045 and DEDD049 (drilled on a new section 40m north of discovery hole DEDD031a) both intersected zones of significant visual mineralisation, including visible gold in DEDD049. Doray’s Managing Director Mr Leigh Junk said the Company was extremely encouraged by the follow up drilling at Deflector North. “With bonanza grades, visible gold and massive chalcopyrite in the drill core it does appear that we are at the very exciting early stages of defining a new ore body at Deflector” he said. As illustrated by Figure 1, this new zone of mineralisation is largely open along strike, with historic RAB drilling being shallow (average 20m depth) and of a vertical nature, being ineffective for narrow vein exploration. Drilling is continuing with a diamond rig currently drilling the next stepout section 80m further north. In addition to testing down dip of DEDD031a north of the dolerite dyke, hole DEDD044 was extended to intersect the known down-dip position of the Western Lode on the south side of the dolerite dyke. Significant mineralisation was intersected at this position, with 1.2m @ 50.3g/t Au from 243.0m (Copper assays pending). As illustrated in Figure 5, this significant intersection is outside of the planned mining area, indicating the clear potential to extend the current mine life at Deflector.
