ABSTRACT: | Doray Minerals Limited (“Doray” or “the Company”) (ASX: DRM) is pleased to announce an update on exploration activities at the Da Vinci discovery, immediately north of its Deflector Gold Copper mine. Following on from the announcement of previous bonanza grade diamond drilling results (see ASX announcement on 24 August 2017), work has focussed on refining the geological understanding of the discovery, and scoping out potential strike extensions to the north. As part of this work, a programme of Reverse Circulation (RC) drill holes have been drilled up-dip (near surface) of previous deeper intercepts, successfully intersecting Da Vinci mineralisation. A short programme of diamond drilling was also conducted to confirm the overall geometry of this new lode. Drill hole locations are illustrated in Figure 2. An east-west RC traverse across the northern extents of mineralisation was also successful in intersecting similar mineralisation a further 80m north of previous diamond drilling in hole DVRC013. Significant intersections returned include: This RC traverse has also returned several other +1g/t intersections that require further investigation, away from the main Da Vinci zone of interest. In addition to RC drilling, three diamond drill holes were drilled in order to provide a better threedimensional understanding of mineralisation at Da Vinci. The first two holes, DVDD001 and DVDD002, were drilled a further 80m north of, and below, DEDD052 respectively. Although these holes did not intersect Da Vinci style mineralisation, structural data from drill core points to a steep easterly dip. This is parallel to these two drill holes, and explains the target not being intersected. | |
