| ABSTRACT: | Vancouver, Canada — DeepGreen Metals Inc. ("DeepGreen") through its wholly owned subsidiary Nauru Ocean Resources Inc. ("NORI") is pleased to announce an enhanced mineral resource estimate for NORI’s project in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone (the "CCZ") of the northeast Pacific Ocean. Data obtained using DeepGreen’s improved and cost-effective sampling methodology during NORI's 2018 exploration campaign resulted in upgrades of 'inferred' base metal resources to 'measured' and 'indicated'. There was a substantial 51% increase in resource tonnage for the upgraded areas when compared with the previous inferred resource estimate for the same area, giving the company confidence in its ability to upgrade the remainder of the inferred mineral resources in the NORI Project area. DeepGreen CEO Gerard Barron said: “Our ability to more accurately estimate mineral resources for the NORI Project represents an important milestone in our commitment to bring clean metals to market in a way that is more cost-effective and has less environmental and social impact than land-based extraction.
