| ABSTRACT: | Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR) is pleased to provide an update on the surface drilling program which commenced on June 3, 2019 at the Northern section of the Gold Links project in Colorado, USA. Managing Director, Mr Stephen Baghdadi commented: “The past few weeks have been focused on drilling for the extension of the 2150 vein, and commencing a surface sampling and mapping program, both with excellent outcomes. The surface sampling and mapping program yielded immediate results with the discovery of the new Hill vein. All six holes drilled to test for the extension of the 2150 vein have intersected mineralisation. As with the Sacramento vein, the 2150 vein is where we expected it to be and high-grade intercepts are being made. This is very encouraging given the number of other known veins that are yet to be tested and the large number of LiDar generated surface targets yet to be explored by Dateline” LiDAR data was acquired over the Gold Links Project on October 20, 2018. The imagery covers 3,623 Ha and completely covers the project area. LiDAR’s ability to precisely map the topography beneath thick conifer forest cover allowed Dateline to identify 3,963 historic prospect pits, shafts, adits and trenches. It also identified old roads and trails used by the original prospectors over 100 years ago. The locations of these features were digitized. We began field checking the data in the area of the current drilling program, and have field checked about twenty of these features in an area of only about 4 Ha. The prospects, shafts and adits around the Hill Vein were among these. | |
