| ABSTRACT: | Cygnus Gold (ASX:CY5, the ‘Company’) is pleased to announce high grade gold results, intersected in the first four holes drilled on the Company’s Bottleneck Prospect, located 300 km south east of Perth in WA’s Wheatbelt region. Six diamond core holes for 628.7m were drilled at Bottleneck to confirm high grade mineralisation intersected by previous explorers, as well as testing an interpreted down plunge target (Figure 1). Results from the first four holes (BNDD001-BNDD004) included the following shallow high-grade intervals: These are the first core holes drilled at the Stanley Project and reveal important structural information critical to understanding the distribution of mineralisation in these high metamorphic grade rocks. Cygnus Gold’s Managing Director James Merrillees said the Company was excited by the high-grade gold results in the first core holes drilled at Bottleneck. “The results from the drilling at Bottleneck are outstanding and confirm not only the known high-grade mineralisation in the weathered rock, but also the potential for gold mineralisation in fresh rock,” Mr Merrillees said. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the early results and eagerly look forward to results from the final two holes of the program and integrating these with the newly acquired structural data in planning our next steps at Bottleneck.” First core holes drilled at Stanley Cygnus Gold’s drilling program at Bottleneck targeted shallow, high-grade gold intersected in aircore drilling by previous explorers as well as an interpreted down-plunge target which has never been tested. | |
