ABSTRACT: | The San Diego Bay Project (“SDB”) is an early stage epithermal gold and base metal exploration prospect located in Alaska, USA. This technical report documents the exploration work for the San Diego Bay Project. It was prepared following the guidelines of the Canadian Securities Administrators National Instrument 43-101 and Form 43-101F1, and in conformity with generally accepted CIM “Estimation of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Best Practice Guidelines” The San Diego Bay Project is located on the southwestern tip of the Alaskan Peninsula approximately 890 km by air southwest of Anchorage, centered on NAD83 coordinates 40,7530E, 6,163,900N Zone 4N. The nearest town is the fishing village of Sand Point on Popof Island, 31 km south of the SDB Project. Access to the property is via a daily flight from Anchorage to the regional airport in Sandpoint. People and supplies are ferried 27 km across the Unga Straight that separates Sand Point and the camp on Balboa Bay Prominent volcanic geographical references are the Veniaminof Volcano (93 km northeast) and the Pavlof Volcanoes (90 km west southwest). The project is set in the upper northeast side of Balboa Bay and covers most of the terrain east of Balboa Bay and southwest of Dorenoi Bay. Elevations vary from sea level to the south to 747 m in the NW. The terrain is moderate to steep and sparsely vegetated as much of the work area is considered to be above the tree line. Rock scree-talus is commonplace throughout the area and rock outcrop is generally sparse. In the lower elevations, minor tundra and low-lying shrubs are present in the valleys. | |
