ABSTRACT:JDS Energy & Mining Inc. (JDS) was commissioned by Chieftain Metals Corp. (Chieftain) to carry out an optimized and revised feasibility study (FS) of the Tulsequah Chief project (Tulsequah). The project encompasses two advanced stage polymetallic massive sulphide deposits known as the “Tulsequah Chief” and “Big Bull” deposits. The feasibility study solely focuses on the development of the Tulsequah Chief deposit. This technical report summarizes the results of the optimized FS and is prepared according to the guidelines of the Canadian Securities Administrators’ National Instrument (NI) 43-101 and Form 43 101F1. This FS technical report varies from the previous JDS FS published in 2012 (JDS 2012) in that it proposes a lower processing rate and the use conventional barging services to transport concentrate to market and supplies to site. The average process plant throughput in this report is 1,100 tpd whereas the processing rate in the 2012 FS was 2,000 tpd. JDS managed the FS and completed the mining, infrastructure, metallurgy, processing and economics sections of the report.
