| ABSTRACT: | Challenger Exploration (ASX: CEL) (“CEL” or the “Company”) is pleased to report first drilling results from its Hualilan Project in Argentina. The Company has received results from its first 7 drill holes, 4 of which were located on the Cerro Norte section of the Hualilan Gold Project and 3 at Cerro Sur. The initial 1,000 metre program was increased to almost 1,500 metres based on the encouraging mineralisation visible throughout the majority of holes. The Company intends to extend the second half of the program similarly following the receipt of assays for these first 7 holes. We are currently co-ordinating with our drilling contractor to re-commence drilling in January 2020 with no set end date. The Company has received first results from the diamond core drilling program, recently conducted at its Hualilan Gold Project in San Juan Province in Argentina. CEL has the right to earn up to 75% of the Hualilan Gold Project, comprising 15 granted mining licences and an exploration licence application covering the surrounding 26sq kms. The initial 2,000 metre drilling program previously comprised of two 1,000 metre campaigns separated by 4-6 weeks, to allow evaluation and follow-up of results from the first campaign. The initial campaign was expanded to 10 holes for approximately 1,500 metres. Drill holes GNDD002, GNDD007 and GNDD008 required re-drilling following technical difficulties which prevented the initial drill hole reaching the final target depth. | |
