ABSTRACT:Centrex Metals Limited (“Centrex”) has completed a maiden Mineral Resource estimate for its Ardmore Phosphate Rock Project (“Ardmore”) in North West Queensland. The estimate was completed based on historical drilling from the 1960s through 1980s, with Centrex having undertaken drill hole collar surveys using modern GPS methods. The estimate has defined a 12 million tonne Inferred Mineral Resource at 28.7% P2O5 using a 19% P2O5 cut-off grade. The Inferred Mineral Resource has been defined over areas that have been historically drilled at a close spacing. Further areas from the previously announced Exploration Target by Centrex, that were based on wider spaced historical drilling still require additional infill drilling to determine suitability for conversion to Mineral Resources. Centrex plans to commence this infill drilling in August. A number of twin holes will also be completed of the historical drilling to increase the confidence in the historical sampling techniques. Centrex intends to complete sufficient drilling to convert the entire deposit to a level required to support a mining feasibility study. The Ardmore Phosphate Rock deposit had 302 historic drill holes completed over the outcropping deposit, with drill spacing down to 20 m by 20 m in some areas. The target phosphorite unit is shallow dipping, with the average depths from surface of the hanging wall and footwall contacts being 8.3 m and 12.0 m respectively based on drilling to date, indicating favourable shallow open-cut mining operations. From historical bulk sample excavations at the site down to 10 m using a D9 dozer, the mined material is expected to be “free-dig” without the need for drill and blast.
