| ABSTRACT: | Calidus Resources (ASX:CAI) is pleased to announce a host of high-grade drilling results which highlight the excellent potential for further increases in the 1.25 million-ounce Resource at its Warrawoona Gold Project in WA’s Pilbara. The results cover diamond drilling in the PFS Klondyke Pit, the PFS Klondyke Underground and initial wide-spaced drilling up to 3.5km west of the current Resource. Calidus Managing Director Dave Reeves said: “These results demonstrate that the deposit remains open down dip and along strike. “The high grades encountered in the diamond drilling reflect the narrow vein operations of the historic mines on the field and confirm that Klondyke is still very much open at depth. We plan to test this area further in the New Year with deeper drilling.” Mr Reeves said initial wide-spaced drilling 1.5 to 3.5km west of the current Resource was conducted on roughly 200m centres and shows that the Klondyke Shear remains well mineralised at considerable strike distances from the current resource. “We plan to fly a high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric survey in the New Year to assist with follow up targeting of this area,” he said. “The metallurgical drilling targeted oxide and transitional zones for variability testing because we believe there may be upside in processing throughput in this material. This test work will commence in Q1 of CY2020 and provide a base for final feasibility designs as we advance our goal of becoming a 100kozpa Australian gold producer.” | |
