| ABSTRACT: | Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (RPA) was retained by Brio Gold Inc. (Brio) to prepare an independent Technical Report on the Pilar operations (Pilar or the Project) located in Goiás State, Brazil. The purpose of this report is to document the Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates prepared by Yamana Gold Inc. (Yamana) for the Pilar operations as of December 31, 2015. This Technical Report conforms to NI 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (NI 43-101). RPA visited the property in March 2015. On December 14, 2014, it was announced that Brio was formed to hold the Pilar operations, C1 Santa Luz Project, and Fazenda Brasileiro gold mine, as well as some related exploration concessions, all of which were considered non-core assets within Yamana at that time. The Pilar operations include the Pilar mine, the Maria Lázara mine, the past-producing Caiamar mine, and the Três Buracos deposit located in Goiás state in central Brazil. The estimated Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves include material at the Pilar mine, the Caiamar deposit, the Maria Lázara mine, and the Três Buracos deposit. Underground mining is currently taking place at the Pilar and Maria Lázara mines. The Três Buracos deposit is currently in the exploration stage, and is envisioned to be an open pit mine with plans to commence production in 2019. | |
