ABSTRACT: | Black Rock Mining Limited (ASX.BKT) (“Black Rock Mining” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the Cascades infill drilling Mineral Resource upgrade from its Mahenge Graphite Project in Tanzania. The Cascades Mineral Resource Estimate of 52.8m tonnes at 8.3% TGC expands the total Mahenge Project Mineral Resource Estimate to 203m tonnes at 7.8% TGC. The Cascades Mineral Resource Estimate contains a higher grade zone from surface of 14Mt at 12.1% TGC that is likely to enhance mining grade in early years and deliver significantly lower operating costs. It is currently being integrated into the Mahenge PFS. Adding this high grade portion to the Ulanzi high grade portion, the Mahenge Project now has 44.2m tonnes at 10.6% TGC or a very high grade portion of 11.7m tonnes at 12.8% TGC. More significantly, the Cascades Mineral Resource Estimate contains substantially higher grade zones from surface than the Ulanzi Prospect providing the potential to deliver higher grades to a mining operation. As a result, the Company is now assessing the impact of Cascade’s higher grade feed with an expected increase in free dig depth and lower strip ratio. Chairman Stephen Copulos commented: “We are excited about how the Mahenge Graphite Project will benefit from the Cascade Mineral Resource Estimate. The high grade portion from surface of 14m tonnes at 12.1% TGC is exceptional in terms of tonnes and grade and likely strip ratio. We believe this will deliver industry leading operational cash costs for a project that has already demonstrated its ability to deliver a high purity product from conventional flotation circuit process. We continue to believe we have the best graphite Resource of any development stage project and are looking forward to releasing our PFS once Cascade has been incorporated into the Study.“ | |
