| ABSTRACT: | Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. (RPA) was retained by Barrick Gold Corporation (Barrick) to prepare an independent Technical Report on the Cortez Open Pit and Underground Mine Operations (the Cortez Operations or the Mine), in Eureka and Lander Counties, Nevada, USA. The purpose of this report is to support the public disclosure of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves at Cortez as of December 31, 2018. This Technical Report conforms to NI 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects. RPA visited the site from January 5 to 9, 2019. Barrick is a Canadian publicly traded mining company with a portfolio of operating mines and projects across five continents.
