| ABSTRACT: | Barra Resources Limited (‘Barra’ orthe ‘Company’) (ASX: BAR) is pleased to announce an interim update on assay resultsreceived from the most recent drilling program at its Burbanks Gold Project, 9km south of Coolgardie, Western Australia. The Company hasrecently completed Phase 1 of its ~13,000m air-core program at Burbanks North (ASX Release dated 6/09/17), with assay results received for the first 37 holes of the program. These first assay results demonstrate multiple intersections grading ≥ 1.0 g/t gold over down-hole widths up to 10m from infill drilling within the Burbanks North Deposit area only (Figure 1), and confirm the Company’s belief that there is an excellent opportunity to identify multiple gold deposits along this exciting trend, approximately 1 kilometre along strike from the Company’s Main Lode Gold Deposit. The Company is very encouraged with the results so far and looks forward to releasing and discussing all the results of the Phase 1 program in due course. This recently completed Phase 1 program consisted of 103 shallow air-core holes and was designed to infill and extend the limits of the Burbanks North Deposit as well as comprehensively test the highly prospective Burbanks North Trend, which has the potential to host multiple shallow gold deposits (Figure 2). In particular, the program was designed to infill zones of open mineralisation within and proximal to the recently optimised pit shell at Burbanks North as well as the commencement of testing the strike extent of the highly prospective Burbanks North Trend. | |
